Registered bed nights increased three percent
In December 2019, 10,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Porvoo And Loviisa Region (+2.5 %), of which 7,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased one percent and registered foreign bed nights increased nine percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's December.
3,700 nights (-36.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 6,600 nights (+54.8 %) by business visitors.
Between January and December, 137,000 registered bed nights (-10.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 50,800 (+7.8 %) for foreigners in Porvoo And Loviisa Region, in total 188,000 (-6.0 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased one percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. In Porvoo And Loviisa Region, length of stay in December was on average 1.8 nights and in Finland 2.0 nights (+1.9 %).
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Porvoo And Loviisa Region on average 1.7 nights (-10.8 %) and foreigners 2.5 nights (+7.7 %).
5,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.0 percent were domestic, and 17.0 percent were from foreign countries.
During December, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Porvoo And Loviisa Region on average 1.7 nights (+0.06) and foreigners 2.5 nights (-0.42).
