Registered bed nights increased 250 percent

In January 2023, 4,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Älmhult (+247.2 %), of which 3,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 780 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 230 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 340 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 250 percent from last year's January.

500 rooms (+121.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,700 rooms (+341.2 %) by business visitors.

Total of 3.2 million registered bed nights (+36.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.5 million nights (+31.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 640,000 nights (+60.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Älmhult out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

1,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 190 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 82.9 percent were domestic, and 17.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Älmhult on average 2.5 nights (+0.47) and foreigners 2.8 nights (-0.27).
