Bed nights in paid accommodation

7,400 bed nights in registered accommodation

In August 2023, 7,400 bed nights were registered in Åmål (-13.2 %), of which 5,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,400 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 13 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 13 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation decreased 13 percent from last year's August.

770 rooms (+63.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 700 rooms (+149.9 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 26,100 registered bed nights were recorded for domestic visitors and 10,100 for foreigners in Åmål, in total 36,100 registered nights.

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 77 percent compared to earlier year. In Åmål, length of stay in August was on average 2.2 nights (-77.5 %) and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-0.3 %).
