Bed nights in paid accommodation

21,700 bed nights in registered accommodation

In June 2023, 21,700 bed nights were registered in Årjäng (-4.5 %), of which 9,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 11,900 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 12 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 15 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation decreased four percent from last year's June.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (8,400 nights).

1,100 rooms (+32.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 670 rooms (-9.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 20,100 registered bed nights were recorded for domestic visitors and 34,100 for foreigners in Årjäng, in total 54,300 registered nights.

Market share 0.3 percent

Total of 6.9 million bed nights in registered accommodation (+0.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.1 million nights (-1.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.8 million nights (+7.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Årjäng out of total registered bed nights in Sweden was 0.3 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.7 %.

Length of stay was 2.2 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 12 percent compared to earlier year. In Årjäng, length of stay in June was on average 2.2 nights (-11.6 %) and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-0.1 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Årjäng on average 2.4 nights (-27.9 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-4.4 %).

10,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased eight percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 41.2 percent were domestic, and 58.8 percent were from foreign countries.
