Registered bed nights increased 27 percent

In January 2023, 1,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Askersund (+27.5 %), of which 1,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 85 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 24 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 230 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 27 percent from last year's January.

280 rooms (-4.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 990 rooms (+60.9 %) by business visitors.

Total of 3.2 million registered bed nights (+36.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.5 million nights (+31.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 640,000 nights (+60.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Askersund out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

1,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 32 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.8 percent were domestic, and 2.2 percent were from foreign countries.
