Registered bed nights increased 32 percent

In January 2023, 13,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Båstad (+31.9 %), of which 12,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 28 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 158 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 32 percent from last year's January.

4,200 rooms (+12.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,200 rooms (+388.6 %) by business visitors.

Total of 3.2 million registered bed nights (+36.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.5 million nights (+31.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 640,000 nights (+60.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Båstad out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

10,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 40 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.6 percent were domestic, and 5.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Båstad on average 1.3 nights (-0.07) and foreigners 1.4 nights (-0.36).
