Bed nights in paid accommodation

176,000 bed nights in registered accommodation

In June 2023, 176,000 bed nights were registered in Billund (-8.3 %), of which 52,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 123,000 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 20 percent and foreign bed nights decreased two percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation decreased eight percent from last year's June.

134,000 nights (-6.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 9,900 nights (-15.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 359,000 registered bed nights (-11.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 348,000 (+15.1 %) for foreigners in Billund, in total 707,000 (+0.2 %) registered nights.

Market share 4.1 percent

Total of 4.3 million bed nights in registered accommodation (-1.4 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.6 million nights (-6.5 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+7.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Billund out of total registered bed nights in Denmark was 4.1 % (-0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.0 % and foreign bed nights 7.5 %.
