Bed nights in paid accommodation
50,000 bed nights in registered accommodation
In August 2023, 50,000 bed nights were registered in Bodø (-5.4 %), of which 35,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 14,800 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased two percent and foreign bed nights decreased 12 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation decreased five percent from last year's August.
21,800 nights (-10.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 12,600 nights (+8.5 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 238,000 registered bed nights (+5.2 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 71,800 (-5.6 %) for foreigners in Bodø, in total 310,000 (+2.5 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, camping sites, short-term holiday dwellings and youth hostels. Holiday dwellings refer to self-catering huts/rooms with limited service.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. In Bodø, length of stay in August was on average 1.6 nights (-2.0 %) and in Norway 1.9 nights (-4.4 %).
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Bodø on average 1.7 nights (-3.1 %) and foreigners 1.4 nights (-1.3 %).
30,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased three percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 65.9 percent were domestic, and 34.1 percent were from foreign countries.

The airport received a total of 91,500 passengers, which means air passenger arrivals increased two percent.
Of local passengers, 1.6 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 98.4 %.
In addition, there were 90,700 passengers departing the airport (+3.4 %), therefore the total number of trips via the airport was 182,000 (+2.5 %).

Registered accommodation sales in August were 25.3 million crowns (-3.0 million).
Registered January-August sales were 166.0 million crowns and they increased 469,000 crowns from the previous year.
