Bed nights in paid accommodation

25,400 bed nights in registered accommodation

In June 2023, 25,400 bed nights were registered in Borås (-9.3 %), of which 20,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,600 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased seven percent and foreign bed nights decreased 20 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation decreased nine percent from last year's June.

6,500 rooms (+10.7 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 7,100 rooms (-18.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 97,700 registered bed nights (-4.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 17,600 (-4.2 %) for foreigners in Borås, in total 115,000 (-4.1 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 6.9 million bed nights in registered accommodation (+0.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.1 million nights (-1.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.8 million nights (+7.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Borås out of total registered bed nights in Sweden was 0.4 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 29 percent compared to earlier year. In Borås, length of stay in June was on average 1.6 nights (-28.9 %) and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-0.1 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Borås on average 1.6 nights (-26.1 %) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-39.9 %).

15,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 28 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 82.2 percent were domestic, and 17.8 percent were from foreign countries.
