Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 31 percent

In January 2023, 14,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Borås (+31.4 %), of which 12,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 25 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 94 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 31 percent from last year's January.

3,800 rooms (+60.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 6,400 rooms (+87.9 %) by business visitors.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 3.2 million registered bed nights (+36.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.5 million nights (+31.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 640,000 nights (+60.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Borås out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

8,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 82 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 88.4 percent were domestic, and 11.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Borås on average 1.7 nights (-0.73) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-0.25).
