19,100 registered bed nights

In March 2023, 19,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Botkyrka (-23.5 %), of which 17,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 24 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 12 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 24 percent from last year's March.

1,400 rooms (-1.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 8,700 rooms (-23.4 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 55,200 registered bed nights (-7.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,500 (-1.9 %) for foreigners in Botkyrka, in total 58,700 (-7.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+4.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 747,000 nights (+15.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Botkyrka out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay was 2.8 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. In Botkyrka, length of stay in March was on average 2.8 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-6.3 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Botkyrka on average 2.7 nights (+46.7 %) and foreigners 19 nights (+56.7 %).

6,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 16 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.9 percent were domestic, and 1.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Botkyrka on average 2.7 nights (-0.32) and foreigners 19 nights (+8.9).
