Registered bed nights increased 37 percent

In January 2023, 6,700 registered bed nights were recorded in Central Ostrobothnia (+37.0 %), of which 5,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 820 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 27 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 210 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 37 percent from last year's January.

2,700 nights (+30.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,000 nights (+41.7 %) by business visitors.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 1.5 million registered bed nights (+48.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 994,000 nights (+43.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 536,000 nights (+56.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Central Ostrobothnia out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

4,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 48 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.9 percent were domestic, and 7.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Central Ostrobothnia on average 1.5 nights (-0.2) and foreigners 2.7 nights (+0.76).
