Bed nights in paid accommodation

Bed nights in registered accommodation increased 14 percent

In June 2023, 12,700 bed nights were registered in Eda (+14.0 %), of which 5,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,900 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 92 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 15 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation increased 14 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (5,800 nights).

1,100 rooms (+2.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 530 rooms (+88.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 18,000 registered bed nights (+62.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 23,300 (+11.1 %) for foreigners in Eda, in total 41,300 (+29.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 6.9 million bed nights in registered accommodation (+0.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.1 million nights (-1.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.8 million nights (+7.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Eda out of total registered bed nights in Sweden was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

Length of stay increased one percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. In Eda, length of stay in June was on average 1.9 nights (+1.1 %) and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-0.1 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eda on average 2.0 nights (+17.0 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-6.1 %).

6,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 13 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 44.1 percent were domestic, and 55.9 percent were from foreign countries.
