Bed nights in paid accommodation

Bed nights in registered accommodation increased 12 percent

In June 2023, 15,800 bed nights were registered in Eksjö (+11.7 %), of which 12,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,300 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 23 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 17 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation increased 12 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (1,500 nights).

1,100 rooms (+8.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,700 rooms (+23.8 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 32,300 registered bed nights (+21.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,700 (-22.4 %) for foreigners in Eksjö, in total 37,000 (+13.3 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.2 percent

Total of 6.9 million bed nights in registered accommodation (+0.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.1 million nights (-1.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.8 million nights (+7.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Eksjö out of total registered bed nights in Sweden was 0.2 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay was 1.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased four percent compared to earlier year. In Eksjö, length of stay in June was on average 1.9 nights (-3.9 %) and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-0.1 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Eksjö on average 1.9 nights (-4.1 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-4.2 %).

8,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 16 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 78.6 percent were domestic, and 21.4 percent were from foreign countries.
