In August 2023, 80,900 bed nights were registered in Esbjerg (-9.7 %), of which 40,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 40,600 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 16 percent and foreign bed nights decreased two percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation decreased 10 percent from last year's August.
20,700 nights (-11.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 16,200 nights (-4.3 %) by business visitors.
Between January and August, 254,000 registered bed nights (-7.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 156,000 (+8.6 %) for foreigners in Esbjerg, in total 410,000 (-2.2 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, holiday centers, hostels and camping sites. Establishments with fewer than 40 beds or camping sites with a capacity fewer than 75 guests per night are excluded.
