Bed nights in paid accommodation

Bed nights in registered accommodation increased 26 percent

In June 2023, 8,700 bed nights were registered in Filipstad (+26.5 %), of which 6,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 2,100 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 35 percent and foreign bed nights increased five percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation increased 26 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Norway (1,200 nights).

630 rooms (-16.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 810 rooms (-17.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 15,400 registered bed nights (+7.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,200 (-6.8 %) for foreigners in Filipstad, in total 18,600 (+4.7 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.1 percent

Total of 6.9 million bed nights in registered accommodation (+0.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.1 million nights (-1.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.8 million nights (+7.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Filipstad out of total registered bed nights in Sweden was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 2.2 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 48 percent compared to earlier year. In Filipstad, length of stay in June was on average 2.2 nights (-47.9 %) and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-0.1 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Filipstad on average 2.2 nights (-28.8 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-89.7 %).

4,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 143 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 73.4 percent were domestic, and 26.6 percent were from foreign countries.
