Bed nights in paid accommodation

Bed nights in registered accommodation increased 11 percent

In June 2023, 13,400 bed nights were registered in Forssa Region (+10.8 %), of which 12,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 880 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased seven percent and foreign bed nights increased 159 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation increased 11 percent from last year's June.

8,400 nights (-7.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 5,000 nights (+64.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 54,900 registered bed nights (+6.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 4,300 (+143.3 %) for foreigners in Forssa Region, in total 59,100 (+10.5 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.6 percent

Total of 2.2 million bed nights in registered accommodation (+2.7 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.8 million nights (-0.4 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 455,000 nights (+16.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Forssa Region out of total registered bed nights in Finland was 0.6 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay increased seven percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. In Forssa Region, length of stay in June was on average 2.3 nights (+7.2 %) and in Finland 1.8 nights (-0.8 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Forssa Region on average 2.2 nights (+4.6 %) and foreigners 3.5 nights (+64.7 %).

5,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.8 percent were domestic, and 4.2 percent were from foreign countries.
