Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 56 percent

In January 2023, 14,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Grenland (+56.4 %), of which 13,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,500 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 58 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 42 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 56 percent from last year's January.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Sweden (640 nights).

5,000 nights (+27.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 8,200 nights (+53.8 %) by business visitors.

Market share 0.8 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+49.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+51.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 422,000 nights (+44.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Grenland out of total registered bed nights was 0.8 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.0 % and foreign bed nights 0.4 %.

9,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 67 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 94.2 percent were domestic, and 5.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Grenland on average 1.6 nights (-0.12) and foreigners 2.9 nights (+0.17).
