Registered bed nights increased 12 percent

In January 2023, 80,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Halland County (+11.6 %), of which 74,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 6,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 10 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 42 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 12 percent from last year's January.

20,500 rooms (+6.4 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 18,100 rooms (+64.3 %) by business visitors.

Market share 2.5 percent

Total of 3.2 million registered bed nights (+36.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.5 million nights (+31.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 640,000 nights (+60.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Halland County out of total registered bed nights was 2.5 % (-0.6 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.9 % and foreign bed nights 0.9 %.

49,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 23 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 93.0 percent were domestic, and 7.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Halland County on average 1.6 nights (-0.16) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-0.26).
