Bed nights in paid accommodation

5,500 bed nights in registered accommodation

In June 2023, 5,500 bed nights were registered in Hällefors (-12.9 %), of which 4,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,300 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 18 percent and foreign bed nights increased eight percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation decreased 13 percent from last year's June.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (870 nights).

1,200 rooms (-31.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 990 rooms (+20.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 20,000 registered bed nights (-7.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,200 (+3.3 %) for foreigners in Hällefors, in total 22,100 (-6.4 %) registered nights.

Total of 6.9 million bed nights in registered accommodation (+0.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.1 million nights (-1.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.8 million nights (+7.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Hällefors out of total registered bed nights in Sweden was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.4 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 32 percent compared to earlier year. In Hällefors, length of stay in June was on average 1.4 nights (-31.9 %) and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-0.1 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Hällefors on average 1.3 nights (-25.5 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-86.5 %).

3,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 28 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.1 percent were domestic, and 15.9 percent were from foreign countries.
