59,600 registered bed nights

In January 2023, 59,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Härjedalen (-19.9 %), of which 56,100 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 20 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 11 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 20 percent from last year's January.

12,600 rooms (-14.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,300 rooms (+4.1 %) by business visitors.

Total of 3.2 million registered bed nights (+36.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.5 million nights (+31.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 640,000 nights (+60.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Härjedalen out of total registered bed nights was 1.9 % (-1.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.2 % and foreign bed nights 0.5 %.

12,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 23 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.9 percent were domestic, and 7.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Härjedalen on average 5.0 nights (+0.22) and foreigners 4.0 nights (-0.19).
