20,300 registered bed nights

In January 2023, 20,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Haugesund And Haugeland (-18.6 %), of which 15,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,200 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased five percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 43 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 19 percent from last year's January.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Poland (2,800 nights).

6,100 nights (+158.1 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 9,600 nights (-55.7 %) by business visitors.

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+49.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+51.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 422,000 nights (+44.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Haugesund And Haugeland out of total registered bed nights was 1.1 % (-1.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.1 % and foreign bed nights 1.2 %.

10,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 50 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 83.9 percent were domestic, and 16.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Haugesund And Haugeland on average 1.8 nights (-1.2) and foreigners 3.2 nights (-3.0).
