Bed nights in registered accommodation increased 12 percent
In August 2023, 31,500 bed nights were registered in Haugesund (+12.2 %), of which 23,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,900 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 12 percent and foreign bed nights increased 13 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation increased 12 percent from last year's August.
Between January and August, 147,000 registered bed nights (+8.9 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 39,500 (-10.8 %) for foreigners in Haugesund, in total 186,000 (+4.0 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, camping sites, short-term holiday dwellings and youth hostels. Holiday dwellings refer to self-catering huts/rooms with limited service.

The airport received a total of 28,500 passengers, which means air passenger arrivals increased 20 percent.
Of local passengers, 32.6 % arrived from abroad, thus the share of domestic passengers was 67.4 %.
In addition, there were 26,300 passengers departing the airport (+19.1 %), therefore the total number of trips via the airport was 54,800 (+19.4 %).
