Registered bed nights increased 44 percent

In January 2023, 39,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Helsingborg (+44.2 %), of which 30,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 8,700 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 49 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 29 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 44 percent from last year's January.

12,200 rooms (+62.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 13,200 rooms (+117.5 %) by business visitors.

Market share 1.2 percent

Total of 3.2 million registered bed nights (+36.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.5 million nights (+31.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 640,000 nights (+60.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Helsingborg out of total registered bed nights was 1.2 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.2 % and foreign bed nights 1.4 %.

24,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 80 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 78.5 percent were domestic, and 21.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Helsingborg on average 1.6 nights (-0.36) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.52).
