133,000 bed nights in registered accommodation

In August 2023, 133,000 bed nights were registered in Hjørring (-5.5 %), of which 57,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 74,700 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased three percent and foreign bed nights decreased seven percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation decreased six percent from last year's August.

57,600 nights (-7.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 4,500 nights (+4.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 354,000 registered bed nights (-9.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 277,000 (-2.0 %) for foreigners in Hjørring, in total 631,000 (-6.3 %) registered nights.

Market share 2.3 percent

Total of 5.7 million bed nights in registered accommodation (-2.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.9 million nights (-7.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.8 million nights (+3.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Hjørring out of total registered bed nights in Denmark was 2.3 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.0 % and foreign bed nights 2.7 %.
