Bed nights in paid accommodation

Bed nights in registered accommodation increased two percent

In June 2023, 20,400 bed nights were registered in Höganäs (+2.1 %), of which 14,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 5,600 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased four percent and foreign bed nights increased 23 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation increased two percent from last year's June.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (2,200 nights).

3,800 rooms (+18.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 670 rooms (+7.0 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 42,600 registered bed nights (-5.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 12,200 (+13.3 %) for foreigners in Höganäs, in total 54,800 (-2.1 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.3 percent

Total of 6.9 million bed nights in registered accommodation (+0.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.1 million nights (-1.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.8 million nights (+7.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Höganäs out of total registered bed nights in Sweden was 0.3 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

Length of stay was 1.8 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 61 percent compared to earlier year. In Höganäs, length of stay in June was on average 1.8 nights (-60.8 %) and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-0.1 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Höganäs on average 1.9 nights (-57.6 %) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-69.1 %).

11,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 160 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 69.7 percent were domestic, and 30.3 percent were from foreign countries.
