In January 2023, 23,900 registered bed nights were recorded in Jämsä (-13.2 %), of which 20,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased 19 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 41 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased 13 percent from last year's January.

14,300 nights (-30.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 9,600 nights (+41.1 %) by business visitors.

Total of 1.5 million registered bed nights (+48.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 994,000 nights (+43.8 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 536,000 nights (+56.6 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jämsä out of total registered bed nights was 1.6 % (-1.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.0 % and foreign bed nights 0.7 %.

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased nine percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.8 percent were domestic, and 14.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jämsä on average 2.7 nights (-0.15) and foreigners 3.1 nights (-0.1).
