Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 27 percent

In January 2023, 15,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Jokkmokk (+26.7 %), of which 10,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 4,800 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 37 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased nine percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 27 percent from last year's January.

4,700 rooms (+43.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,000 rooms (-8.9 %) by business visitors.

Market share 0.5 percent

Total of 3.2 million registered bed nights (+36.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.5 million nights (+31.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 640,000 nights (+60.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jokkmokk out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.7 %.

4,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 57 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 64.9 percent were domestic, and 35.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jokkmokk on average 3.7 nights (-1.2) and foreigners 3.0 nights (-0.46).
