Registered bed nights increased 43 percent

In January 2023, 79,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Jönköping County (+43.0 %), of which 63,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 15,900 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 39 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 61 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 43 percent from last year's January.

21,400 rooms (+37.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 27,700 rooms (+92.6 %) by business visitors.

Market share 2.5 percent

Total of 3.2 million registered bed nights (+36.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.5 million nights (+31.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 640,000 nights (+60.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jönköping County out of total registered bed nights was 2.5 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.5 % and foreign bed nights 2.5 %.

45,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 55 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.0 percent were domestic, and 14.0 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jönköping County on average 1.6 nights (-0.26) and foreigners 2.5 nights (+0.56).
