Registered bed nights increased 79 percent

In January 2023, 40,300 registered bed nights were recorded in Jönköping (+79.1 %), of which 33,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 7,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 74 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 106 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 79 percent from last year's January.

13,200 rooms (+67.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 15,300 rooms (+134.0 %) by business visitors.

Market share 1.3 percent

Total of 3.2 million registered bed nights (+36.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.5 million nights (+31.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 640,000 nights (+60.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Jönköping out of total registered bed nights was 1.3 % (+0.3 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.3 % and foreign bed nights 1.1 %.

26,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 83 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.2 percent were domestic, and 13.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Jönköping on average 1.5 nights (-0.11) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+0.44).
