Registered bed nights increased 29 percent

In January 2023, 3,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Karlskoga (+28.8 %), of which 2,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 650 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased nine percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 310 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 29 percent from last year's January.

860 rooms (+181.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,600 rooms (+73.5 %) by business visitors.

Total of 3.2 million registered bed nights (+36.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.5 million nights (+31.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 640,000 nights (+60.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Karlskoga out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

1,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 114 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 85.6 percent were domestic, and 14.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Karlskoga on average 1.7 nights (-1.4) and foreigners 2.6 nights (+0.35).
