Bed nights in registered accommodation increased eight percent
In August 2023, 32,000 bed nights were registered in Kuusiokunta Region (+8.0 %), of which 31,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 610 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased seven percent and foreign bed nights increased 96 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation increased eight percent from last year's August.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Romania (114 nights).
31,400 nights (+9.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 640 nights (-28.0 %) by business visitors.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased one percent in registered accommodation
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. In Kuusiokunta Region, length of stay in August was on average 1.9 nights (+1.3 %) and in Finland 1.8 nights (+0.0 %).
During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Kuusiokunta Region on average 1.9 nights (+1.1 %) and foreigners 2.9 nights (-25.1 %).
16,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.8 percent were domestic, and 1.2 percent were from foreign countries.
