11,600 registered bed nights

In January 2023, 11,600 registered bed nights were recorded in Leksand (-6.2 %), of which 11,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 114 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights decreased five percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 63 percent. In total, registered bed nights decreased six percent from last year's January.

4,600 rooms (-1.2 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,300 rooms (+201.8 %) by business visitors.

Total of 3.2 million registered bed nights (+36.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.5 million nights (+31.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 640,000 nights (+60.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Leksand out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

6,900 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 24 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.9 percent were domestic, and 1.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Leksand on average 1.7 nights (-0.53) and foreigners 1.6 nights (-0.82).
