Bed nights in paid accommodation
Bed nights in registered accommodation increased 111 percent (July)
In July 2024, 7,300 bed nights were registered in Lovisa Region (+110.7 %), of which 5,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,700 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased 95 percent and foreign bed nights increased 187 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation increased 111 percent from last year's July.
Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (380 nights).
7,200 nights (+160.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 93 nights (-86.8 %) by business visitors.
Between January and July, 14,400 registered bed nights (+64.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,700 (+78.8 %) for foreigners in Lovisa Region, in total 17,100 (+66.8 %) registered nights.
Registered bed nights statistics include stats for registered accommodations: hotels, motels, guest houses, hostels, holiday villages and campsites. Establishments with fewer than 20 beds or caravan lots with an electrical connection point are excluded.

Length of stay increased nine percent in registered accommodation (July)
Length of stay in registered accommodation increased nine percent compared to earlier year. In Lovisa Region, length of stay in July was on average 1.8 nights (+8.9 %) and in Finland 1.8 nights (-0.6 %).
During July, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lovisa Region on average 1.7 nights (-1.5 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+62.1 %).
4,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation (July)
Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 93 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 80.3 percent were domestic, and 19.7 percent were from foreign countries.
