Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased three percent

In March 2023, 10,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Lysekil (+2.7 %), of which 9,400 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased three percent and registered foreign bed nights increased three percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's March.

3,600 rooms (+9.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,300 rooms (+58.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 28,200 registered bed nights (+25.0 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 2,800 (+28.9 %) for foreigners in Lysekil, in total 31,000 (+25.4 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.3 percent

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+4.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 747,000 nights (+15.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Lysekil out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.1 %.

Length of stay increased 15 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 15 percent compared to earlier year. In Lysekil, length of stay in March was on average 1.7 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-6.3 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lysekil on average 1.6 nights (+16.4 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-17.6 %).

6,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 11 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 91.9 percent were domestic, and 8.1 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Lysekil on average 1.6 nights (+0.26) and foreigners 2.1 nights (-0.75).
