65,100 bed nights in registered accommodation

In August 2023, 65,100 bed nights were registered in Middelfart (-11.3 %), of which 42,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 23,100 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 10 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 14 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation decreased 11 percent from last year's August.

18,700 nights (-3.7 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 12,300 nights (-1.2 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 263,000 registered bed nights (-2.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 71,800 (-9.2 %) for foreigners in Middelfart, in total 335,000 (-3.7 %) registered nights.

Total of 5.7 million bed nights in registered accommodation (-2.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.9 million nights (-7.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.8 million nights (+3.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Middelfart out of total registered bed nights in Denmark was 1.1 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.8 %.
