Bed nights in paid accommodation

4,600 bed nights in registered accommodation

In August 2023, 4,600 bed nights were registered in Mjölby (-1.6 %), of which 4,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 360 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased one percent and foreign bed nights decreased seven percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation decreased two percent from last year's August.

940 rooms (-15.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 1,800 rooms (+13.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 25,600 registered bed nights (-1.7 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 1,900 (-10.1 %) for foreigners in Mjölby, in total 27,500 (-2.4 %) registered nights.

Length of stay increased three percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased three percent compared to earlier year. In Mjölby, length of stay in August was on average 1.6 nights (+3.2 %) and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-0.3 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mjölby on average 1.6 nights (+4.5 %) and foreigners 1.9 nights (-12.0 %).
