Bed nights in paid accommodation

37,500 bed nights in registered accommodation

In June 2023, 37,500 bed nights were registered in Mora (-6.1 %), of which 25,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 11,900 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 12 percent and foreign bed nights increased 10 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation decreased six percent from last year's June.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (3,600 nights).

4,000 rooms (-11.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 3,500 rooms (+24.6 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 114,000 registered bed nights (-9.1 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 22,400 (+1.8 %) for foreigners in Mora, in total 136,000 (-7.4 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.5 percent

Total of 6.9 million bed nights in registered accommodation (+0.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.1 million nights (-1.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.8 million nights (+7.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Mora out of total registered bed nights in Sweden was 0.5 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.5 % and foreign bed nights 0.7 %.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased six percent compared to earlier year. In Mora, length of stay in June was on average 2.0 nights (-5.5 %) and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-0.1 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Mora on average 2.0 nights (-8.0 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+0.9 %).

19,000 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased one percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 68.7 percent were domestic, and 31.3 percent were from foreign countries.
