Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 59 percent

In January 2023, 6,500 registered bed nights were recorded in Moss Region (+59.3 %), of which 5,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 720 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 50 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 200 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 59 percent from last year's January.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Sweden (280 nights).

1,800 nights (-18.8 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,300 nights (+47.9 %) by business visitors.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+49.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+51.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 422,000 nights (+44.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Moss Region out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

4,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 86 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 92.8 percent were domestic, and 7.2 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Moss Region on average 1.5 nights (-0.32) and foreigners 2.4 nights (+0.4).
