Registered bed nights increased 29 percent

In January 2023, 2,800 registered bed nights were recorded in Motala (+29.4 %), of which 2,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 100 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 36 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 45 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 29 percent from last year's January.

700 rooms (+130.9 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 920 rooms (+13.0 %) by business visitors.

Total of 3.2 million registered bed nights (+36.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.5 million nights (+31.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 640,000 nights (+60.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Motala out of total registered bed nights was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

1,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 42 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.1 percent were domestic, and 2.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Motala on average 1.9 nights (-0.16) and foreigners 2.3 nights (-0.29).
