Bed nights in paid accommodation

Bed nights in registered accommodation increased 15 percent

In August 2023, 7,100 bed nights were registered in Nässjö (+14.6 %), of which 5,900 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,100 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased nine percent and foreign bed nights increased 52 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation increased 15 percent from last year's August.

600 rooms (-2.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,100 rooms (+6.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 35,900 registered bed nights (+4.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 5,300 (+31.1 %) for foreigners in Nässjö, in total 41,200 (+7.2 %) registered nights.

Market share 0.1 percent

Total of 8.4 million bed nights in registered accommodation (-5.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.9 million nights (-9.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.5 million nights (+6.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nässjö out of total registered bed nights in Sweden was 0.1 % (0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 1.9 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased seven percent compared to earlier year. In Nässjö, length of stay in August was on average 1.9 nights (-6.8 %) and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-0.3 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nässjö on average 2.1 nights (+4.2 %) and foreigners 1.3 nights (-41.1 %).

3,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 23 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 75.4 percent were domestic, and 24.6 percent were from foreign countries.
