7,500 bed nights in registered accommodation

In August 2023, 7,500 bed nights were registered in Nora (-29.3 %), of which 6,500 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,000 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 29 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 32 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation decreased 29 percent from last year's August.

1,300 rooms (-7.1 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 490 rooms (+6.5 %) by business visitors.

Total of 8.4 million bed nights in registered accommodation (-5.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.9 million nights (-9.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.5 million nights (+6.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nora out of total registered bed nights in Sweden was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased six percent compared to earlier year. In Nora, length of stay in August was on average 2.0 nights (-5.8 %) and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-0.3 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nora on average 2.1 nights (-5.1 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-10.0 %).

3,700 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased 25 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 84.8 percent were domestic, and 15.2 percent were from foreign countries.
