Bed nights in paid accommodation

Bed nights in registered accommodation increased eight percent

In June 2023, 89,100 bed nights were registered in Nord-Gudbrandsdal (+8.3 %), of which 54,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 34,500 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights increased four percent and foreign bed nights increased 15 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation increased eight percent from last year's June.

30,200 nights (+6.0 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,300 nights (+18.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 139,000 registered bed nights (+3.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 72,100 (+29.9 %) for foreigners in Nord-Gudbrandsdal, in total 211,000 (+11.2 %) registered nights.

Market share 2.0 percent

Total of 4.6 million bed nights in registered accommodation (+0.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.9 million nights (-5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+12.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nord-Gudbrandsdal out of total registered bed nights in Norway was 2.0 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.9 % and foreign bed nights 2.1 %.

Length of stay was 1.6 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased two percent compared to earlier year. In Nord-Gudbrandsdal, length of stay in June was on average 1.6 nights (-1.6 %) and in Norway 1.9 nights (-3.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nord-Gudbrandsdal on average 1.8 nights (+0.8 %) and foreigners 1.4 nights (-3.6 %).

54,200 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 10 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 55.5 percent were domestic, and 44.5 percent were from foreign countries.
