Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 22 percent

In January 2023, 7,100 registered bed nights were recorded in Nord-Gudbrandsdal (+22.0 %), of which 5,800 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,300 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 12 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 106 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 22 percent from last year's January.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Sweden (460 nights).

1,900 nights (+48.5 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 2,000 nights (+18.5 %) by business visitors.

Market share 0.4 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+49.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+51.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 422,000 nights (+44.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nord-Gudbrandsdal out of total registered bed nights was 0.4 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

3,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 86.2 percent were domestic, and 13.8 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nord-Gudbrandsdal on average 2.1 nights (+0.21) and foreigners 2.8 nights (+0.29).
