Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased two percent

In March 2023, 10,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Nordanstig (+2.4 %), of which 10,200 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 121 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased seven percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 78 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased two percent from last year's March.

1,800 rooms (+34.5 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 620 rooms (+172.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and March, 27,100 registered bed nights (+21.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 470 (-71.9 %) for foreigners in Nordanstig, in total 27,600 (+14.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 3.9 million registered bed nights (+4.8 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 3.2 million nights (+2.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 747,000 nights (+15.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nordanstig out of total registered bed nights was 0.3 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 3.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased 57 percent compared to earlier year. In Nordanstig, length of stay in March was on average 3.0 nights and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-6.3 %).

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nordanstig on average 3.0 nights (-48.5 %) and foreigners 2.4 nights (-82.2 %).

3,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 137 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 98.5 percent were domestic, and 1.5 percent were from foreign countries.

During March, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nordanstig on average 3.0 nights (-3.6) and foreigners 2.4 nights (-24).
