Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased three percent

In January 2023, 24,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Nordmøre And Romsdal (+3.4 %), of which 23,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 1,400 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased two percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 33 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased three percent from last year's January.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Sweden (420 nights).

6,600 nights (+2.2 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 9,500 nights (-10.4 %) by business visitors.

Market share 1.4 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+49.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+51.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 422,000 nights (+44.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nordmøre And Romsdal out of total registered bed nights was 1.4 % (-0.6 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 1.7 % and foreign bed nights 0.3 %.

13,800 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 16 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 95.6 percent were domestic, and 4.4 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nordmøre And Romsdal on average 1.8 nights (-0.21) and foreigners 2.2 nights (-0.21).
