Bed nights in paid accommodation

Bed nights in registered accommodation increased eight percent

In June 2023, 117,000 bed nights were registered in Nordmøre And Romsdal (+7.6 %), of which 63,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 54,000 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased one percent and foreign bed nights increased 20 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation increased eight percent from last year's June.

28,600 nights (+5.3 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 13,400 nights (-17.7 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 222,000 registered bed nights (-3.5 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 84,700 (+19.9 %) for foreigners in Nordmøre And Romsdal, in total 307,000 (+2.0 %) registered nights.

Market share 2.6 percent

Total of 4.6 million bed nights in registered accommodation (+0.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.9 million nights (-5.0 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.6 million nights (+12.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Nordmøre And Romsdal out of total registered bed nights in Norway was 2.6 % (+0.2 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 2.1 % and foreign bed nights 3.3 %.

Length of stay increased one percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased one percent compared to earlier year. In Nordmøre And Romsdal, length of stay in June was on average 1.9 nights (+0.7 %) and in Norway 1.9 nights (-3.2 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Nordmøre And Romsdal on average 1.8 nights (-2.5 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (+4.5 %).

62,400 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 56.0 percent were domestic, and 44.0 percent were from foreign countries.

Registered January-June sales were 140.8 million crowns and they increased 3.4 million crowns from the previous year.
