Bed nights in paid accommodation

3,700 bed nights in registered accommodation

In August 2023, 3,700 bed nights were registered in Öckerö (-16.0 %), of which 3,000 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 710 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 27 percent and foreign bed nights increased 121 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation decreased 16 percent from last year's August.

1,600 rooms (+5.8 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 170 rooms (-58.3 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 16,500 registered bed nights (-10.3 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 3,400 (+114.2 %) for foreigners in Öckerö, in total 19,900 (-0.5 %) registered nights.

Total of 8.4 million bed nights in registered accommodation (-5.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.9 million nights (-9.9 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 2.5 million nights (+6.5 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Öckerö out of total registered bed nights in Sweden was 0.0 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay increased 11 percent in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation increased 11 percent compared to earlier year. In Öckerö, length of stay in August was on average 1.9 nights (+11.5 %) and in Sweden 2.1 nights (-0.3 %).

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Öckerö on average 1.9 nights (+11.1 %) and foreigners 2.1 nights (+2.1 %).
