Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 44 percent

In January 2023, 8,400 registered bed nights were recorded in Oppdal (+43.8 %), of which 8,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 150 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 46 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 20 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 44 percent from last year's January.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Poland (51 nights).

2,300 nights (+121.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 1,500 nights (-13.6 %) by business visitors.

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+49.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+51.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 422,000 nights (+44.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Oppdal out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.6 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

3,500 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 89 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.4 percent were domestic, and 2.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Oppdal on average 2.5 nights (-0.78) and foreigners 1.7 nights (-0.7).
