Bed nights in paid accommodation

21,100 bed nights in registered accommodation

In June 2023, 21,100 bed nights were registered in Oskarshamn (-7.5 %), of which 17,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,500 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased seven percent and foreign bed nights decreased 10 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation decreased eight percent from last year's June.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (2,000 nights).

4,400 rooms (+126.0 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 2,900 rooms (-7.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and June, 82,200 registered bed nights (+31.4 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 7,600 (-28.0 %) for foreigners in Oskarshamn, in total 89,700 (+22.9 %) registered nights.

Total of 6.9 million bed nights in registered accommodation (+0.5 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 5.1 million nights (-1.7 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 1.8 million nights (+7.7 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Oskarshamn out of total registered bed nights in Sweden was 0.3 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.2 %.

Length of stay was 2.0 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased six percent compared to earlier year. In Oskarshamn, length of stay in June was on average 2.0 nights (-5.9 %) and in Sweden 1.9 nights (-0.1 %).

During June, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Oskarshamn on average 2.1 nights (-2.9 %) and foreigners 1.8 nights (-18.9 %).
