Paid bed nights

Registered bed nights increased 87 percent

In January 2023, 9,200 registered bed nights were recorded in Øst-Finnmark (+87.4 %), of which 5,600 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 3,600 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 53 percent and registered foreign bed nights increased 188 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 87 percent from last year's January.

Most foreign registered bed nights were recorded for travelers from Indonesia (400 nights).

4,800 nights (+198.4 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 3,600 nights (+17.7 %) by business visitors.

Market share 0.5 percent

Total of 1.8 million registered bed nights (+49.9 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.3 million nights (+51.6 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 422,000 nights (+44.8 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Øst-Finnmark out of total registered bed nights was 0.5 % (+0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.4 % and foreign bed nights 0.9 %.

6,300 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 137 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 52.4 percent were domestic, and 47.6 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Øst-Finnmark on average 1.7 nights (-0.04) and foreigners 1.2 nights (-1.1).
