Bed nights in paid accommodation

2,400 bed nights in registered accommodation

In August 2023, 2,400 bed nights were registered in Other Satakunta (-10.3 %), of which 2,300 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 10 nights by foreigners. Domestic bed nights decreased 10 percent and foreign bed nights decreased 29 percent. In total, bed nights in registered accommodation decreased 10 percent from last year's August.

Most foreign bed nights were recorded for travelers from Germany (4.0 nights).

2,200 nights (-10.9 %) were spend by leisure visitors and 200 nights (-3.5 %) by business visitors.

Between January and August, 16,600 registered bed nights (+9.8 %) were recorded for domestic visitors and 290 (+14.2 %) for foreigners in Other Satakunta, in total 16,900 (+10.3 %) registered nights.

Total of 2.3 million bed nights in registered accommodation (-0.6 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 1.7 million nights (-3.2 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 606,000 nights (+7.9 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Other Satakunta out of total registered bed nights in Finland was 0.1 % (-0.0 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.1 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

Length of stay was 2.1 nights in registered accommodation

Length of stay in registered accommodation decreased four percent compared to earlier year. In Other Satakunta, length of stay in August was on average 2.1 nights (-3.7 %) and in Finland nights .

During August, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Other Satakunta on average 2.1 nights (-3.6 %) and foreigners 2.0 nights (-14.3 %).

1,100 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation decreased seven percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 99.6 percent were domestic, and 0.4 percent were from foreign countries.
