Registered bed nights increased 10 percent

In January 2023, 7,000 registered bed nights were recorded in Rättvik (+10.0 %), of which 6,700 nights were spent by domestic visitors and 260 nights by foreigners. Registered domestic bed nights increased 12 percent and registered foreign bed nights decreased 24 percent. In total, registered bed nights increased 10 percent from last year's January.

2,000 rooms (+55.3 %) were booked by leisure visitors and 290 rooms (+716.4 %) by business visitors.

Total of 3.2 million registered bed nights (+36.1 %) were recorded in the whole country, of which 2.5 million nights (+31.1 %) were spent by domestic visitors and 640,000 nights (+60.4 %) by foreigners.

The market share of Rättvik out of total registered bed nights was 0.2 % (-0.1 percentage points), out of domestic bed nights 0.3 % and foreign bed nights 0.0 %.

2,600 tourists arrived to registered accommodation

Arrivals to registered accommodation increased 188 percent compared to earlier year. Of all registered arrivals, 97.1 percent were domestic, and 2.9 percent were from foreign countries.

During January, domestic visitors stayed in registered accommodation in Rättvik on average 2.7 nights (-4.4) and foreigners 3.5 nights (-4.5).
